Who We Are | What We Do

Founded in 1986, the Southern California Tennis Association Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is the charitable arm of USTA Southern California. For three decades, the Foundation has provided grant opportunities and offered scholarships to increase participation in the sport among underserved populations, seeking to expand the popularity of tennis in the region.

The Foundation funds programs, innovative projects, leagues, and events that increase access, availability, and participation of tennis for people of all ages, abilities, ethnicity, and economic backgrounds. The Foundation also offers scholarships that support promising young junior players who are working hard to achieve their tennis aspirations.

Grants & Scholarships

The Foundation offers a variety of Grants that support tennis programs, projects, leagues, and events, and welcomes innovative ideas and grassroots endeavors.

The Foundation also offers a variety of need-based Scholarships to promising young junior tennis players and deserving students.

The Jack Kramer Future Champions Scholarship Grant supports junior tennis players between the ages of 8-18 who aspire to play collegiate or professional tennis, show significant promise, and demonstrate financial need to compete in sectional or national tournaments.

The Henry Talbert Summer Tennis Camp Scholarship Grant supports junior tennis players between the ages of 8-16 who demonstrate a commitment to improving their tennis, but whose families lack the resources to cover the fees and tuition cost of summer tennis camp.

The Victor Stern Scholarship Grant supports junior tennis players between the ages of 8-18 who have a passion for tennis and wish to pursue the sport. Players must have a record of competitive play, wish to continue playing tennis, and have a goal of pursuing a post-high school education. Two grants will be awarded each year to deserving female and male players.

If you have a worthy idea or program for growing the game of tennis or you are interested in one of the Scholarship opportunities, please go to SCTAFoundation.org.
