THE FUTURE OF TENNIS.

The SoCal Pro Series returns in 2023 with two ITF/USTA Pro Circuit $25,000 and fourteen ITF/USTA Pro Circuit $15,000 events, each showcasing the most talented up and coming men’s and women’s players based in and around Southern California.

From junior phenoms to the cream of the crop in college tennis, SoCal Pro Series competitors will vie for valuable ATP and WTA ranking points.

But more importantly, the SoCal Pro Series will prepare these future stars for a career in professional tennis, ready to take on the world as touring professionals with the ATP, WTA, and Team USA!

Southern California section players (including SoCal college players) are encouraged to compete in pre-qualifiers for each event for a chance to advance into the main draws. Players may also submit a wild card request for each of the events.

JUST ANNOUNCED! The @SoCalProSeries summer schedule has been revealed, with more than $200,000 in prize money up for grabs and valuable pro tour ranking points at stake! The Series opens with three consecutive events in San Diego beginning May 29, followed by a Los Angeles swing (including a new stop at the Racquet Club of Irvine). Also new this year, a season finale in beautiful Solana Beach.

Due to heavy rainfall, all matches at the Malibu SoCal Pro Series have been cancelled. Play will resume tomorrow, January 5.
Two of the nation’s top college recruits are playing in the SoCal Pro Series this week, a $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit event taking place at Pepperdine University in Malibu; Alex Michelsen from Aliso Viejo is headed to the University of Georgia next year, while Irvine’s Learner Tien has enrolled at USC and will play this spring for the Trojans.

PRE-QUALIFYING EVENTS

WILD CARD REQUESTS

SoCal Pro Series

Players seeking a wild card entry into any 2023 SoCal Pro Series event should review the rules and guidelines for wild card requests.

Click the toggle below to read the submission criteria.

Wild cards will be granted to qualified residents of Southern California (USTA members) or full-time enrolled college/university students of schools in Southern California. US citizenship is required of all wild card candidates regardless of residence or college affiliation.

Clarification of any discrepancy of the interpretation of this rule will be at the sole discretion of the Wild Card Committee. The Wild Card Committee reserves the right to request documentation of proof of any kind.

All applicants MUST have an ITF I-pin number.

The Wild Card Committee is made up of the following:

The Tournament Director (varies per event); Bruce Kleege; Chris Boyer; Trevor Kronemann; Cathy Jacobsen-Guzy; Cynthia Nieman; Lorne Kuhle; and from USTA, Johnny Parkes and Sylvain Guichard. The decisions of the Committee are final.

Notification: All Wild Card recipients will be contacted by email or phone.

Wild Card submissions must be made not less than two weeks prior to tournament start date. Late submissions will not be accepted except under extenuating circumstances.

Once notified of the wild card acceptance, players will have 24 hours to confirm acceptance. If no confirmation is made within 24 hours, the Wild Committee will make a substitute wild card selection.

Players can apply for either main draw, qualifying wild cards, or both.

Players can apply for wild cards to multiple tournaments simultaneously.

Wild card requests can only be made through the wild card submission webpage.
