Tennis On Campus (TOC) is the USTA club tennis program, offering college players a socially competitive tennis experience and memories that will last a lifetime. Over 400 colleges and universities nationwide participate in the student-run program, many competing to reach the Tennis On Campus National Championship.

The Southern California Tennis On Campus program currently offers around 20 active colleges and universities, with regular events (often student-organized) held throughout Southern California.

The Tennis On Campus Sectional Championships will showcase these talented players as the teams converge for an opportunity to advance into the National Championship tournament later this spring at the USTA National Campus. This showdown of the top teams will decide who earns one of five coveted berths into the national event.

The field is led by UCLA, defending Section champions AND National reigning champs!

TOC Sectionals will be held at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. Barnes is the 2021 recipient of the USTA’s Featured Facility honors, the organization’s top annual designation among facilities across the United States.

Barnes Tennis Center hosts the USTA Billie Jean King Girls 16/18 National Championships each summer, and last October welcomed the ATP Tour San Diego Open to Southern California.

Exceptional sportsmanship is expected of all our tournament players, as well as parents, friends, and coaches on the sidelines.

We remind everyone to create a positive and encouraging environment. We ask COACHES to stress the importance of sportsmanship as highly as the development of strokes and strategy. And we empower PLAYERS to accept victory and defeat with equal grace and dignity, while treating opponents with fairness and courtesy.

The tournament will feature roaming umpires who will oversee the competition throughout the day.

Players are encouraged to engage in good sportsmanship when determining calls on the court, without official intervention.

Should the need arise, players may request an umpire to oversee their court if discrepancies persist. This request must be made by the player(s) on the court. Parents and coaches may not request umpires to the court.
