Earn Youth Progression Points from Home and On Court this Summer

USTA Southern California

Tue 9th, Jun, 2020

While Junior Tournaments, Early Development Camps, and Junior Team Tennis remain on hold, Net Generation players can still earn credit in Youth Progression from the safety of home or back on the court (as communities allow).

USTA SoCal has developed a program for your 10U players who are already part of Youth Progression!

Through August 31, 10U players not yet "Mission Complete" in Youth Progression will be able to earn stars (participation points) towards their progression by submitting videos of themselves completing Progression Point activities.

It's this simple:ย

  1. Watch one of the Net Generation activity videos below.ย
  2. Create a video of yourself successfully completing the activity.ย
  3. Upload the video using our Submission Portal.
  4. Receive your Youth Progression points!ย

Activities include:

Hot Hands

Edgies

Juggle Rally

Backspinners

Body Volley

Wall Rally

Six Point Challenge

Length of Strokes

Keep Up

Tennis Squares

Your Fast Feet

Or try one of these activities on court:

Rally with a parent, coach or friend - 10 each of forehands, backhands, volleys and overheads.

Serve 6 times in both the deuce and ad service boxes, alternating between corner, down the T, and middle of the box.

Play a point that includes a serve, groundstrokes, approach shot and volley.

Play a point that includes a serve return, groundstrokes, approach shot and volley.

Two stars (100 points) will be awarded for each submission with a limit of two separate submissions per player.

The USTA SoCal Junior team will review each submission and credit points within a week. Junior Team Tennis Area League Coordinators will vote on the best for each local area to award an additional two stars, plus these videos will be featured on our Social Media platforms!

Use the submission portal to submit a Youth Progression at Home/on Court video.
