Tennis is a sport for a lifetime. I started playing when I was five and I plan to keep playing the rest of my life,” said Jon Mulvey, a Tennis on Campus alum and avid player in Southern California.

“Tennis has helped me improve my endurance and energy level a lot because of training and weekly matches,” explained 2022 Girls’ 12s Junior Sectional champion Shaya Jovanovic. “Tennis has taught me many life lessons that I probably would’ve learned much later. I’m very thankful for all the friends I’ve made throughout the years.”

Tennis also provides numerous mental health benefits that make it an ideal sport to play for life. Tennis requires a great deal of focus, concentration, and mental agility, which can help improve cognitive function and mental acuity.

“The difference in my well-being both physically and mentally when I’m playing regularly to when I’m not is like night and day,” explained Jon Mulvey. “Regardless of your skill level, you connect with friends, laugh together, and get your feet moving. It’s a fantastic way to stay active and involved.”
