This April 6th, embrace the spirit of inclusion and the joy of tennis at the Serving Advantage Community Adaptive Tennis Play Day. Held in honor of National Autism Awareness Month, this event will be a day for community, sport, and fun, dedicated to individuals with autism and other intellectual and/or developmental differences. In collaboration with the USTA Southern California, Serving Advantage is proud to present a day filled with tennis, fitness, and social engagement. Together, we can foster a sense of belonging and community spirit.

Why Celebrate Autism Acceptance Month?

Autism Acceptance Month is key to promote acceptance, celebrate diversity, and highlight the positive impact of people on the autism spectrum. It’s a time to push for inclusion and to dismantle barriers and correct misconceptions about autism. Events like the Adaptive Tennis Play Day are meant to help everyone understand these differences and show how people can contribute to a more inclusive society.

Autism encompasses a range of conditions marked by social and communication challenges, as well as unique behaviors. However, it’s also associated with distinctive strengths and talents. During Autism Acceptance Month, we try to emphasize these unique qualities, showing how they add value to our communities. By embracing differences, we aim to create a world where everyone, including those on the autism spectrum, has the chance to succeed and be recognized for their contributions.
